The fitness industry is ever trying to invent a new-fangled way to do just about everything. While there is nothing wrong with innovation or advancement we have to be sure that in our rush to have the latest and greatest we dont forget the tried and true.

This series will look at old-school exercises that are every bit as effective today as they were when THEY were the latest and greatest. Though the fitness industry may have moved passed them they are still valuable and viable tools to be considered for use in any workout.

Today we'll look at:

The Bench Dip

Bench dips are a great way to hit Triceps, Front Delts and, to a lesser degree, Pectorals. They are simple to do and I've found they make either an awesome finisher after a challenging Tricep workout or a wonderful transition when going To Triceps after finishing chest, provided your split is arranged that way.

Heres a video clip to give you an idea of how they're done:

LOL @ "college"... although if I think about it I bet you learned a fair bit!

Yeah, I used to LOVE these things but as happens I laid them aside for other things. I blasted them out the other day and remembered how much they rock as a nice tricep finisher!!
