Many people feel supplements are essential when trying to reach lofty fitness goals while others feel that they are completely unnecessary. I'm curious as to the concensus here?

I think they're probably unnecessary if you eat right but I do take a multi and use protein powder. Also a per-workout supp.

I take a fish oil, b-12 and a some other crap my gf wants me to take. :).

I believe the same. But I wonder exactly what your diet would need to be like in order to get every nutrient "they" claim we need in the amounts recommended?

When I am working out and reaching fitness goals I take a boat load of supplements and then when I fall away...I completely stop taking them, even my multi vitamins.Why? I ahve no idea...so stupid.I usually take a Multi,B6,Calcium,VitD,Omega3,Biotin,Red Yeast Rice,Flax,Magnesium,and I know I am forgetting one somewhere. Sometimes I take Garlic supps for my asthma.

I take multi vitamin, omega 3-6-9, l-arganine,casein protein, isopure protein and occasional thermogenic eca stacks and jet fuel pre workout only every one in a while.... I can't take any of the nitrogen type pre workout stuff on days I do legs or deadlifts

I take a multivitamin, fish oil, extra vitamin E, protien powder, Glucosamine/Chondroitin and a fiber sup.

I wish I could half 1/2 the money back I wasted on ALL the other junk. There is no supplement for a clean, measured, timed diet and good old fashioned hard "SMART" work with adequate rest!

Rest... you'd be amazed at how many people forget that part! Fitness in any form is a three sided equation comprised equally of: Diet, exercise and REST! Yet to so many people asking them to rest is like asking them to french kiss their mom.... lol...

Too many ill informed people have told me that "a good balanced diet is all you need" - don't be fooled by this. The quality of the foods served up in our stores (UK & US) is diabolical!
If anyone is reading this post, take time out and watch thi movie, if it's not the full movie, search for it on Google as it's free to watch online.
